Learn Japanese Calligraphy

Chiyo Sanada was born and raised in Hiroshima, Japan. She's studied Japanese calligraphy since she was seven years old, and started teaching calligraphy, or "shodo," after graduating from Hiroshima Bunkyo Women's University in 1995 with a degree in Japanese and Chinese calligraphy. Chiyo now lives in the Pacific Northwest and leads public workshops and large-scale calligraphy performances on a regular basis.
Participants will make cards and small paintings, great for holiday gifts. Workshop cost: $20 (covers materials and refreshments). Bring extra embellishments (stamps, ribbons, etc.) if you like, but paper, ink, and general supplies will be provided. Refreshments will be served.
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! This is a great family activity and fun for all ages.
